This come to us from Maddie Mae 2 U’s mother……..9/20/09
I have to finish the grooming on her and Devon and then take their pictures and I send you one. I love that dog so much – God did good on finding her for me. I would have not chosen anything else. Beside, she thinks I am wonderful.
It is hard to believe she was 2 years old in June. Maddie Mae has not settled down much…..except in the mornings when the two scotties sleep until 10 or 11. She is scared of the garbage truck on Monday mornings and it comes by twice as we live on a corner. I don’t know why she is because nothing else does. She is a tough little girl. Maddie is so loving and does curl up on my lap and sleep or just sits with me where as Devon will jump up on my lap when he wants to. She has such a personality…..still talks a lot and quite demanding. But her high pitch voice when she has gotten something cornered but can’t get it will drive angels insane! She is aggressive with tracking and hunting in the back yard. Birds, rats, mice, roaches are all her kills which she brings on the screened porch or into the house if we don’t catch her first. The latest kill was a squirrel. Now we have not seen any squirrels for several weeks after this.

Jan 20, 2007. I just wanted to drop you a note and remind you about our Maggie. We got her about 7 years ago and I thought we were going to have to give her back as she was so hyper..our little scotty..! A lot has happened over the years and one thing in particular. My husband, Dennis, is under Hospice and our Maggie is near his bedside, chair side or wherever he goes ALL THE TIME. Its almost like she was God sent to us. I’ve thanked you through the years..and just wanted to thank you again. She has made us both very happy. She went through nearly dying when she got into citrus fertilizer about 4 years ago and till this day the vet calls her a miracle dog..and indeed she is. He said he may need to use her to transfuse another pet if they get sick like she was..her liver quit working for awhile..but she came back. I hope you and your family are doing well and again thank you for the wonderful gift of our little Maggie. Hugs and best wishes to you and your family, Sally of Ft. McCoy, FL Update: Sally’s husband went to heaven but Maggie stayed at his side until the very end. They were best friends. Thanks Sallie for the sweet note.

Good morning Donna,
Just a note to show you what My Maggie looks like now at 9 years old. Its been quite awhile since we got her from you and you encouraged us to not give up on our little TERROR. It was the best decision I ever made. My husband was gravely ill with cancer and passed away in 2007, Maggie was HIS dog..and she stayed near his bedside, on his bed, where ever he was till the end..and even then stayed near HIS stuff. If ever there was a dog as faithful as Maggie I can’t even imagine. Its a quality that should be mentioned..she was a constant source of enjoyment, happiness and never let him down. Afterwards when I was so devasted at MY loss..she stayed by my side and helped me to get through my loss, too. It will be 3 years in April but I treasure my time with her and know she felt my loss, too. I’ve never been disappointed with our choice to adopt her from you and I once again would like to thank you for such a high quallity, standard of dog..Your earning your wings, too..!!
Big hugs from,
Sally and MAGGIE
Some of Scotties are in agility!
This note comes from Windy in sunny Florida about Jasmine
AKC did an article on Jasmine and Casey. Jasmine has her Excellent title in both Jumpers and Standard Agility. She has 2 double qualifiers for her MACH (Masters Champion). AKC reps and judges all comment on what an amazing dog she is. She is sweet, consistent, attentive and darn cute! Here’s a link to the article:
Last summer we encountered two Westie’s at the dog shelter. They came home with us to stay. We’ll be getting Jasmine spayed in the next few weeks. Hope all is well with you.
Be proud of your puppy! Windy
The next letter I received from Karin P in Washington State last year. She has two of our pups and they love agility and field trials. Karin works tirelessly in Scottie and Westie Rescue.
Actually you will be proud but Daisy completed her senior Earthdog Title and is working on her masters. She is also in agility and passed one leg of her jumpers and weaves, and has two more to go for a title.
Kendall completed his Agility Novice Title and is working on a second and third one.
I am very proud of both of them. We are starting rally in June with Kendall – he has a better calmer personality – and Daisy is a pistol pain in the bottom……. She must take after Zizi … but she is a GREAT hunter.
